The ZRP-5 is a low-cost programmable control processor that is designed to automate the operation of audio/video and other electronic systems. The ZRP-5 is equipped with support for both 433MHz RF antennas (RM-433) and 2.4GHz RTI ZigBee® RF transceivers (ZM-24) for outstanding wireless coverage, while RTI in-wall products can be connected for complete control. Multiple RF modules (RM-433 or ZM-24) can be used together to gain greater RF transmission coverage in larger projects, providing the freedom to access and control
the electronics system from just about anywhere.

NOTE: The ZRP-5 supports bi-directional ZigBee® wireless communication between ZigBee® enabled remote controls and control processors. However, it does not support RS232 communication and therefore it does not provide two-way feedback to RTI controllers from devices being controlled.

Description

The ZRP-5 Remote Control Processor provides truly reliable and cost-effective control in a small package. Control your equipment from nearly anywhere by adding multiple RTI RF modules (433MHz or 2.4GHz) or an in-wall controller.

Five variable-strength infrared ports command your equipment and a high-output terminal welcome an IR connecting block and emitters for control of even the most complex stack of electronics. The ZRP-5 is equipped with three programmable voltage sense ports for reliable control. Also, unlike simple IR-to-RF converters, the ZRP-5 stores all system IR commands and macros where they should be – within a central processor, ensuring reliable and predictable operation.
