RTI Product Preview for ISE 2011

SHAKOPEE, MN - December 1, 2010

T3-V+ and T2-C+ Universal System Controllers
Power plus innovation
The next generation of RTI wireless remote controls features a revolutionary dual RF board technology that gives custom installers unprecedented flexibility for rock-solid control in any situation. The new T3-V+ and T2-C+ controllers support both 433-MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4-GHz ZigBee® for bidirectional communication with RTI processors and supported third-party electronics like music servers, lighting, and even Web-based RSS feeds for convenient weather updates. While both remote controls continue to provide direct infrared control, the T3-V+ offers enhanced 802.11b/g wireless Ethernet support for browsing the Web or viewing IP-addressable devices such as security cameras.
Innovation plus flexibility
The class of the handheld control market, the T2-C+ and T3-V+ each offer a nice blend of touchscreen and hard buttons, both completely customizable. The T3-V+ has a 3.5-inch, full-VGA touchscreen for eye-popping color, and has added five programmable "soft" buttons with interchangeable keycaps. Featuring the first OLED touchscreen ever used with a remote control, the T2-C+ provides a stunning, high-contrast display with an extremely wide viewing angle.

RTiDock
At ISE 2011, RTI will debut its RTiDock featuring rackmount or desktop options and a host of benefits not found on other iPod® docks, such as the ability to sync with iTunes® over the network through Virtual Sync technology. For simple, intuitive operation, the device offers a full on-screen GUI and video output for navigation through a video display device. A sliding tray provides easy access and discreet storage of the iPod for added convenience and a clean design.

RTiPanel App and Virtual Panel Web Control
RTI is also bringing the power of its control solutions to the iPhone®, iPod touch®, and iPad® with the new RTiPanel app. With the app installed on any of these popular Apple® products, users will have complete control of their electronics from the home and beyond. In addition, with RTI's Virtual Panel, now any PC running Microsoft® Windows® becomes an interface for complete system control within the home or anywhere in the world there is an Internet connection.

XP-3 Central Control Processor
With a robust 532-MHz i.MX processor and 128 MB of nonvolatile flash memory, the XP-3 improves the user experience by providing a much higher degree of control and automation than a standalone remote control. The processor offers a remarkable value with an impressive feature set that is unmatched in its class — including an astronomical time clock for time-based events, a built-in ZigBee® RF transceiver to allow bidirectional communications with compatible RTI remote controls, and access to the same library of drivers utilized by all RTI XP series processors.

XP-6 Central Control Processor
Packed with an impressive feature set rivaling processors at twice the price, the XP-6 offers a variety of control options such as RS-232, relay, IP, and routable IR. The processor features support for the RTI 433-MHz receivers for one-way RF communication, and ZigBee® 2.4-GHz transceivers can be incorporated for more sophisticated bidirectional communication with an RTI controller. Taking full advantage of the horsepower built into the XP series control processors, the XP-6 has an astronomical clock, support for the RTI Virtual Panel, and utilizes powerful two-way drivers for A/V, security, lighting, and HVAC systems.

AD-4 and AD-8 Distributed Audio Systems
For whole-house audio distribution, RTI will be demonstrating its four-zone AD-4 and new eight-zone AD-8 distributed audio systems. Acting as extensions to RTI's control systems, the AD-4 and AD-8 offer low-cost and very effective solutions for distributing music in a residential or commercial installation. The systems contain both a matrix switching pre-amp and a built-in Cool Power® class D amplifier, and they achieve amazing flexibility with four or eight local audio source inputs that can be further enhanced with remote audio sources.

iTunes® and Squeezebox™ Integration
At ISE 2011, RTI will announce new drivers for integration with iTunes® and Squeezebox™ network music players using its two-way-enabled handheld and in-wall controllers. For control of PC-based music libraries, RTI has partnered with AlloySoft to develop the driver, which provides a slick interface that allows users to control their music using iTunes®, Windows® Media Player®, or Winamp® and to receive feedback including playlists, album art, "now playing" info, and more.

For dealers, utilizing Squeezebox is a simple way to give customers convenient access across their home network to their database of PC music, Internet radio, music services such as Pandora® and Rhapsody™, and much more. And now with the two-way driver, dealers can offer customers full control and feedback of Squeezebox, including cover art, on two-way-enabled RTI handheld or in-wall controllers.
